Wing Festival – April 12th
Calling all wing lovers! Battle of the Buffalo is the largest chicken wing festival in the area, held in Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 3 – 7 p.m.. The festival is held by the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity of UAHuntsville in memory of their lost brother, Paul “Fish” Salmon. Over 20 restaurants in the Tennessee Valley area will compete for best wings. Come out and cast your vote, along with community leaders, including Mayor Tommy Battle and Dr. Marshall Schreeder who will participate as judges for the competition. Stay awhile and enjoy live music by Jami Grooms, a KidZone! and an Arts and Crafts Fair named in honor of Susan Eva, an employee of Clearview Cancer Institute currently battling cancer. Funds raised from this event are donated to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation at Clearview Cancer Institute, where Paul received his cancer treatment.
