The Community Foundation of Huntsville/Madison County was recently selected to manage a fund for Russel Hill Cancer Foundation. According to Community Foundation Board Chairman Bob Ludwig, “We are honored to be of assistance to the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation in this way. We applaud the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation’s Executive Director Donna Johnson and the President of their Board of Directors, J. Andrew Watson III, for their vision in partnering with The Community Foundation to manage this fund for the long-term stability of this effort.”
The Russel Hill Cancer Foundation is a local effort. Every dollar donated to the Foundation stays in the area and supports bold, innovative cancer research, education and patient assistance.
Lynne Berry, Executive Director of the Community Foundation, remarked, “Russel Hill Cancer Foundation will receive several benefits from this investment with the Community Foundation. Funds that we manage for nonprofits are listed on our printed materials, on our website, and are mentioned in our presentations. Our management fees are very competitive and there will be educational and promotional opportunities to grow the fund. Most importantly, a fund increases the stability of a nonprofit and strengthens the effectiveness of their strategic planning. By delegating the administrative tasks of managing funds to the Community Foundation, nonprofits are free to focus more energy on fundraising and developing donor relationships. We congratulate the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation on their business acumen and professionalism and look forward to working with them to increase this asset.”
